Hip Problems due to Defective Implants

STEPS TO TAKE TO PROTECT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS

  1. Write to the hospital and doctor concerned and ask them to confirm whether you received one of the Depuy or Stryker implants?
  2. Write down the dates in which you had your surgery, where you had the surgery and the doctors that treated you.
  3. Consult with your Solicitor as there may time limits on your ability to take a case.
  4. Do a summary of your complaints and the problems that you are having with your hip and when these problems started to occur and give this summary to your Solicitor.
  5. Ask your Solicitor to obtain copies of your medical notes and records from the hospital, your general practitioner and your surgeon and get an authority signed authorising your Solicitors to request this information.
  6. Request copies of all of your x-rays and scans taken in the hospital so that this can be examined by an independent expert together with your notes and records so that the expert can give you an opinion as to whether you have a case.

If any of these issues concern you please feel free to contact Liam Moloney Solicitor Naas on 045 898000.

In contentious business a Solicitor may not calculate fees or charges based on a percentage of the amount of damages recovered.
